Developed with what can only be described as the most beautifull graphics I have seen in a long time, Conquer Online appears to be my new number one online game to play once it downloads.
My last favourite was Guildwars but the problem I found with guildwars is that items and such didnt seem to have much point to them, the same with weapons and the like. Guildwars has in terms of 3D graphics the most beautifull graphics of any free to play online RPG that I have played but the wonderfully drawn 2D/3D backgrounds of Conquer Online and the nicely rendered 3D models for the characters and enemies make Conquer Online a close tie with guildwars simply because of the apparent effort that has been put into drawing the backgrounds. And unlike Guildwars where you have to pay a one time fee to play, Conquer Online is free to download and free to play.
Im not saying that Conquer Online is any better than Guildwars, at this point I can't really comment at all because I have yet to play Conquer Online for longer than the five mins I spent playing on Joels computer. I really like Guildwars in terms of the fighting system and the fantastic world graphics, but alas I have only been able to explore the ruins of Ascelon and some surrounding deserts, and the fact that it takes three hours to do somthing on your own is a problem for me as it wasnt until I got into a guild that I finally started to progress far and even then as soon as I moved to Uni I stopped playing for no real reason other than you cant spend 8 hours a day playing a game 
although just thinking of it is making me crave playing it again.
Now that im only really at my computer for a couple of hours a week to do uni work and to check up on the website and blogscene I need a game that is much like runescape, I loved runescape the fact that you could spend hours exploring, mining, killing, trading and generally making money was the hook that kept me playing. Runescape is and always be a fond memory of mine, and I still ocasionally go back and play – but it has changed considerably from being older people playing to being 12 year olds playing which makes the free version a pain to play, and I cant really afford to pay the couple of quid a month on the members version.
I shall write again, when I have installed and played Conquer Online. Deciding which is best runescape, Guildwars or Conquer Online…
