My Design Buisness
Revised: February 23, 2006It has been over six years since I first built a website, but the first time I started writing html and playing with the consepts of designing with css I knew I had found an interest that would stick, somthing that I was good at then and am even better at now. I took on my first freelance website design project for my Grandads buisness "Richoceit events", it wasnt big nor was it especially flashy - but it worked and I got paid for it. Two years later or thereabouts I had anime-planet running sucessfully and had done a few more website for other people for free. More recently, last year I began freelancing again, and created the website for www.boroughgreenjuniorfc.co.uk a local junior football team, lovely people and I was happy to work for them. I decided there and then that I would regester my company to make it all legitamate and profesional. I wanted to do the work, I enjoyed doing the work and its a great feeling having somthing on the internet that you can look at and think "I designed that". Almost 6 months have passed since then and my buisness has yet to have another client. No it hasn't been lazyness, and no I haven't exactly been swamped with university work (there is a lot of it but I still have a couple hours free time per day). The fact was simply I had decided when I got to uni, that as I had no "outstanding" clients I would wrap the buisness up and get a job while at uni. It seemed a good idea at the time, but was a huge oversight on my part.
I had a good thing with design, work my own hours, and get paid pretty well. Well recently I have teamed up with Tom one of my flatmates to continue my design company as a joint venture, we need clients tho - the most difficult thing to obtain. Updates will come as the company grows, and it will grow. If you would like a website created for you then please get in touch ![]()
