As with a new start must come a new face. I shall begin heavily modifying the current stable release of K2 to form my own variant. The new theme code named "Water Phoniex" is going to basically have a front page with a banner image and some K2 style main links below, with an introduction and then the latest posts. At the bottom there will be some of my latest photos in the gallery and links – to adknowledge the fact that when you get to the bottom of the page normally you dont have anywhere to go, what better to see than some of my latest photos and some of my favourite links to interest you?
The archives page will contain statistical infomation on the website, age and so on, the actuall live extended archives itself and some form of tag thing. Might get round to adding some visitor stats as well…
With the new start I shall be able to do somthing that I have wanted to do for a while, have 8 set main catagories for content: Art & Design, Photography, Simons World, Website News and so on. Might just have on the front page the latest post and then under that the 10 main catagories with their logos and descriptions or somthing – i have played with the idea before but have never made it work nicely… yet.
Each main page will have its own header, I may still have the flash fader header with some nice photos of mine on the main page, but the catagory pages, colophon and archive pages will have their own headers.
believe it or not but photogabble has had its own logo for the past year and a half, I just havent made public any of the themes I have created with it incorperated. Some pics will show up sooner or later.
Well I have work now, so I had best be off… some mock up designs will popup sometime soon…
