Design Ideas and Vista

Revised: June 28, 2006

Its been another long day of work, work, work. All this getting up at 6am marlarkey is begining to wear me out! Its six in the afternoon now and I feel like going to sleep right this seccond. Anywho I shall plod on as I have far more important things to do than sleep. With all the interest with Vista and me being on Microsofts special test list thing I decided I would get hold of it and upgrade - if it all goes tits up I have my xp64 master cd to fall back on, and all my files are backed up on my other internal hard drive, which I have been assured wont be affected by a reinstall on one of my other drives (if it did I would be a bit annoyed at loosing 300GB of important photos, design work and video project data (which is on its own prooving a pain in the arse to back up).

Seeing as I have a reasonably up to date laptop sitting around doing not very much at all, I thought it would be a good idea to install it on that one… alas I have downloaded the 64Bit version… being that my main computer is 64Bit powered. So depending on wether dad can bring home an install disk from work (I already have my own install key) i shall attempt to install it on my laptop. And with what I have already downloaded, it would be a shame to see such a use of our 3Mbit line go to waste so I shall burn it to dvd and if the install on laptop goes well and im interested I may use it, if not give it away to a friend who is interested.

Now all that talk about vista is out the way (I would rather own a mac, feel free to buy/give me one ;)) back on with the design ideas. I have just spent the past few hours viewing around three hundered or so websites for design inspiration - I still have three firefox windows open each with about fifty tabs in each so I still have some way to go before all are looked at, read or scanned and taken in or rejected (for once that investment in 1GB ram is paying off).

I have checked the design I did lastnight and have decided that it wont do, it looks alright I guess but I dont feel it would fit the website in the context that im trying to set it (that made sence to me, but then im half asleep). Im trying again from scratch - again. As weeble says, im always redesigning somthing all the time…
