Its been another one of those bloody hot days today, not that im complaining. British summers are always better when its a heatwave on ![]()
Two old G3 Imacs where up for grabs at work today as it was either they got grabbed or chucked in a skip (recycled). I thought it would make a nice little pc for my little sister and so me and my dad came home with a tangerine 400Mhz G3 with 64MB RAM and a 10Gig HDD. Its currently sitting downstairs next to one of apples new sexy white and clear plastic keyboards – which we got because some of the keys aren’t working, although not having a space key is a pain in the arse lol.
As OS9 doesn’t really live up to standards nowadays we thought we should install a Linux distro on it; that is if the hard disk still works. I currently have two different Ubuntu ISO’s downloaded for powerPC and a debian net install disk.
We shall see what happens tomorrow
