Just a thought….
Revised: August 4, 2006Just a thought… been thinking about the whole communist and democratic thing. Someone from a democracy would look upon a communist state and say that everything is ruled to benifit one person (I for one don't believe this, communist as I understand it is governing the people not for the benifit of one person but for the population as a whole).
In a western democratic country where corperations seem to have more power than the government does, it appears to me that those corperations control things so as to benifit them selves, and as far as I can see it not to benifit the population as a whole - even if they try to appear to be doing that so as just to gain more sales…
I am studying both political systems as part of my degree, as I understand it communism sounds like a good idea on paper, and has its pro's and con's just like domocracy does. The only things that has tainted communism's image is the fact that people like Adolf Hitler missenterpreted what communism was about just so as to benifit himself, thats not communism, that fashish dictatorship - and that is somthing that I am wholey against.
It appears that since then every communist government has been tarred with the dictator brush, even if they aren't so.
