This made me laugh, heard it dismorning on Terry Wogan's Radio 2 Morning show:
This guy had recently bought a sports car to celebrate his retirement, as soon as he got it off the forecourt he sped away down the M40 at 80 mile an hour! Eventually he noticed the blue flashing lights of a patrol car in his rear view mirror and in a burst of adrenaline he floored it going 100, 110, 120 mile and hour before thinking to himself,
"What am I doing!? I'm too old for this,". Upon pulling over and waiting for the police a police officer came over and said,
"I have 30 minutes left on my shift, its a friday. So if you can give me an excuse that I have never heard before as to why you where speeding then I shall let you go". The guy responded,
"Well 30 years ago my wife got taken away in a squad car like that, and when I saw it in my rear view mirror I thought you were bringing her back!", to which the police officer merely replied with "Have a good day sir,".
