My new online addiction is these curious and obscure websites where no one knows who anyone else is and where a lot of the content is astonishingly discusting. The problem with these types of websites is the fact that they are like a road traffic accident. Everyone who drives by just has to slow down and take a peek because we all like to see what happened. Some of the photo board sites I have uncovered are pretty gross and thus if you go to the random board also known as /b/ you can find some nasty stuff, however amongst the disturbing images best linked to steakandcheese there is mostly photoshopped funny stuff. Many boards have themes where on certain days only certain images are allowed to be posted, such as Caturday where images of cute kittens and the like are manipulated in a paint application or simply given captions.
They are good methods of killing boredom, I can spend a good hour per site and so it saves me from going insane with boredom when there is nothing else to do.
However out of the many photo boards out there, I must say I prefer tmbo (thismight.be/offensive) because it is a propper community, everyone has names and you know what everyone looks like. Also there is an etiqette there where as you get quality images and none of the shit that appears on places like 4chan and 7chan. If you know someone who can get you an invite it’s a very cool place!

But the truth, the first truth, probably, is that we are all connected, watching one another. Even the trees. – Arthur Miller
