When uploading to Wordpress via Windows Live Writer I occasionally get an upload error and for a while I had simply attributed this to my Wordpress install having a random moment. Howver I have just discovered that the problem has been caused by the png formatted image files I was using in the post (I usually use JPG or GIF and PNG is rarely used due to file size). It would appear that WLR is incapable of uploading the png image to wordpress, or wordpress doesn’t like the method used by WLR. Either way I hope this is good news to someone, as all you have to do is convert the image before including it in WLR and it’s fine.
I really like using Windows Live Writer for uploading to my blog so I hope this bug is fixed soon.
