Iceland the country is a beautiful place to visit and a geologists dream holiday location. The geological features not only make the country interesting to geologists but the variety within the landscape and inherent isolation makes it an attractive place for photographers to visit. I had been emailed a link to Stéphanes‘ recent photos from Iceland and after browsing through the first few pages could see that they had accurately captured with a great deal of detail the beauty of Icelandic countryside. Below are two of my favorites from his gallery because they feel surreal to me and I simply love the colour-tone range caused by an interplay of light and dark, if you feel the same I recommend you go and check out the rest of his gallery.
