Through the fashion blog leflassh.com I recently came accross the above photo from Ellery, the model is wearing what can only be considered as very expensive lingerie with the price per item being over $300 it is however from a photographic point of view a very well composed image. I had originally thought that the model was wearing white tights or body suit, however upon further inspection it appears to be a colour correction done in post-production as I dont believe that the model is that colour normally. The pose over the sofa extenuates the girls legs while showing off the lingerie in a very provokative fashion, this pose is very typical of the kind that make use of the male gaze which is no suprise when you take into consideration that most advertising of this kind of clothing is targeted towards men to buy it for their girl with the slight undertone of “only you can afford it, because your the working man.” Still feminist theory aside, this is a very nice shot, well composed, well lit and beautifully shot, while I am not too over-keen on the reflection from the left leg, this shot is a good favourite for the time being.
