To cut a really boring story short the sidebar animation is something that I thought was really “cool”, so to keep it out of the way of the rest of the design it only shows up in the footer and only some of the time.
The source of this animation is a bit unknown I found it on a tumblr called goodmorning, with the title in Japanese saying “翠星石のギャルゲーブログ 画像で切なくさせて 2/3″ which is just as meaningless to me when ran through a translator. It does link through to another Japanese blog, which I followed in the hope of finding more but alas I hit a dead end, the blog in question titled the animation “347 名前：以下、名無しにかわりましてVIPがお送りします。[sage] 投稿日：2008/01/16(水) 22:44:42.20 ID:1bUuNxO90 人の一生” which again is meaningless even when translated.
