So the amazing week continues, I went to see the exceedingly talented and beautiful Regina Spektor play in Wolverhampton with the sex god that is Joey. I must say if I had a job right now (something that I am working towards) I would have bought every single T-shirt and album this woman has released! That is how much I love her and her music, I am still buzzing from the gig and it ended a good few hours ago, I am sure I shall still be buzzing this time next week!
If you get the chance definitely go see her live, it is a heart stoppingly good event, well worth any money to see!
Regina is a very cool lady… if you like her stuff, check out laura veirs, and joanne newsom… oh, and to find her influences, laura nyro as well!
Brett; I quite liked Laura Veirs music and although Joanna Newsom’s music was nice her voice wasn’t as beautiful as one would expect from the style. Out of all the hundereds of artists whom I have listened too, Regina poseses one of the, if not thee most beautiful voice that and none of her songs are the same as each other, they each use slightly different and in some cases vastly different vocal and musical techniques.
Thanks for the names, I shall most likely be hunting down an album by Laura Veirs if she has one… and buying it when I get money/job.
