US Government Break a Law, then change it…

It sounds appalling, and to be honest it is. The US Government has broken laws that forbid any government agency from spying on its own citizens with out a warrant. As it stands the Wight House is nearing an agreement with congress to make Bush’s illegal warranties citizen surveillance program legal.

It would appear that in their "war on terrorism" effort the US government have forgotten what makes them better than the so called "terrorists" – diplomacy, a working legal system and the constitutional rights which protect the rights American citizens. As that stands this piece of legislation would enable the government to breach any Americans constitutional right to privacy – this is a sad, sad day for democracy.

The Constitutional rights and civil liberties were written into law to protect Americans from overzealous politicians and it appears that those politicians are ignoring Americans rights just so they can play their war games, personally I cant decide whether this is incompetence or corruption on the Governments part as it’s a thin line between the two and their actions seem to flirt with either side :(

What do you think?
