Hi there and welcome to the online portfolio of Simon Dann. I have currently just completed my master’s degree in Communication, Culture and Media at Coventry University and previously spent three years studying towards a BA Honours degree in Communication, Culture and Media of which I gained a 2:1 grade overall. My overall academic goal is to become a specialised doctor within new media and cultural analysis.
I am a keen developer of online applications which are usable, aesthetically attractive and have accessible interfaces that conform to the strictest of web standards. During my time at University I have teamed up with a number of friends to put what we have been taught into practice developing several projects within the mediums of film and website design; with the most successful of these being JOEy* Brannigan Presents, an online television series which culminated in the private release of a feature length dvd.
My most professional project to date was the corporate website for Agency Software Worldwide Ltd (previously known as Kent Computers) during which I worked as part of a development team with the goal of rebranding the corporate website pending their name change. My role was in assisting with design decisions and developing the content management system that the design is displayed through.
