In the attempt to figure out what my body clock is doing I have begun a new project to document sleep times. Shortly below shall appear a graph and tables documenting the next months worth of sleep. I may develop some form of wordpress plugin to aid my documentation if so I shall make it available here once the project is finished.
Plan
What is to be recorded:
- Time of going to sleep,
- time of waking up.
- Approximately how many times I woke up during the night,
- Did I dream?
- Did I Feel tired the night before,
- Did I feel tired the morning after.
With the above data I shall form the following graphs and tables:
- Bar chart showing hours of sleep throughout the month with median line drawn to show average, each bar to be colour coded on how many times I woke up during that night 0-1 = green, 2-3 = orange 4 or more = red.
- Bar chart showing Monday to Sunday average sleep for the month to show which days are most likely to have more rest.
- A table listing the dates, hours of sleep, if I dreamt and how I rated tiredness the night before and the morning after. This is to find out whether going to bed tired means waking up tired and if dreaming is linked with a better nights sleep.
The project will run from the 31st October to the end of November, possibly longer but that is the limit on the first lot of data. More details will be added when I get round to it.
