Modifying the Alexified theme Part One

Well I have had this theme for long enough to have had a chance to play with it, and seeing as I have a couple of days off I thought I would have a go at modifying it.

The theme is almost a month old as far as I can tell, and there is much to be improved in the theme itself. So with no further ado I shall begin this tiny tutorial on adding some more functionality to your pages :)

1. Technorati Tags: I have noticed a few people have been asking how to add these to your theme as they are'nt included in the stock package. The plugin I use for my tags is Bunny's Technorati Tags so your first port of call is to go there, download and install that plugin.

Once you have the plugin installed you need to open the post.php file in your themes template directory and about 13 lines from the begining insert the following:
‘, ‘‘, ‘, ‘); ?>
Before the following:
Coming up next, how to remove the flash titles and make the page still look good :p, use of the blogtimes plugin and how to install and use the related posts plugin!

I’m definately going to be checking back to see what I can learn from you. In the meantime…I’ve got to try and figure out what the heck is wrong with my code on my blog. I’ve installed the theme and some of my posts aren’t being contained in a text box. Hate to bug you but are you familiar with this problem? Is it an easy fix? Would you happen to know where I could find out how to figure out what the problem is and how to fix it? Sorry for all the questions…just going crazy trying to figure out what I did wrong in my posts! LOL

In response to Emily: I thought it may be because of the images but that doesnt seem to be the problem…

I love the faded color and new .jpg logo you have. I’ve been struggling with that since the beginning. I hope that’s a tutorial soon!

Although it looks rather different between FF and IE 7.

    Good work as usual!
